Benefits
- At 2MB per image, you can attach 10+ photos to a single email within the 25MB limit.
- Even 6000x4000 photos look excellent at 2MB, no reason to send larger files for screen viewing.
- Phone camera photos (typically 3-8MB) compress to 2MB with no visible quality loss.
- Fits within most CMS upload limits without extra configuration.
- Private processing is important when compressing personal photos, and nothing leaves your device.
Compression Tips
- Most email providers allow attachments up to 25MB total. At 2MB per image, you can attach 10+ photos in one email.
- At 2MB in JPEG, even 6000x4000 photos look excellent. There is no reason to send larger files for screen viewing.
- If your images are from a phone camera (typically 3-8MB each), compressing to 2MB saves 50-75% with no visible quality loss.
- For CMS platforms with upload limits, 2MB is a common maximum. Fit-to-size guarantees you stay under it.
Shrink the file, keep the quality in sight, and never hand over the original.
