Terms of Service

The Service

FastEdit provides browser-based image and video editing tools. The app is delivered as static web files, and media processing runs locally in your browser on your device. The service is currently offered free of charge and without an account.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use FastEdit. If you are under 16 and located in the European Economic Area, you may only use FastEdit with the consent of a parent or guardian.

Intellectual Property

FastEdit's name, logo, site design, and documentation are owned by Sagi Hammer. These terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the service for its intended purpose. This license does not grant you any rights to the FastEdit brand, trademarks, or underlying code beyond what is covered by the open-source licenses described below.

No Warranty

FastEdit is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Results depend on your browser, hardware, and available memory.

We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the output will meet your specific requirements.

Your Files, Your Responsibility

Your files stay on your device unless you choose to share or upload them somewhere else yourself. FastEdit does not upload, store, or inspect your media for editing or export. You are responsible for your files, including backups.

You retain all rights to any content you process with FastEdit. We claim no ownership or license over your files.

Acceptable Use

FastEdit is a general-purpose media editing tool. You agree not to:

• Use FastEdit to process content that violates applicable laws in your jurisdiction.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any non-open-source component of FastEdit.
• Redistribute, rebrand, or present FastEdit as your own product or service.
• Use automated scripts or bots to access FastEdit in a way that degrades the service for others.
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the availability of the service.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FastEdit and its author shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to data loss, arising from your use of the service.

Keep backups of important files.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sagi Hammer and any contributors from and against any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of FastEdit or your violation of these terms.

Open Source and Third-Party Components

FastEdit uses WebAssembly-compiled builds of libwebp (BSD-3-Clause), browser APIs, AI model runtimes, and other open-source libraries. FastEdit may also rely on third-party delivery infrastructure for anonymous analytics and optional AI model downloads. These components and services are provided under their respective licenses and terms.

Service Availability

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue FastEdit (in whole or in part) at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of FastEdit shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
