Convert JXL to JPG
JPEG XL (JXL) offers the best compression ratio of any image format, but browser support is still growing. Convert JXL to universally supported JPG when you need to share or display images on platforms that do not support JXL yet. All processing runs in your browser.
Steps
01
Open FastEdit
Go to app.fastedit.net.
02
Import your JXL file
Drag and drop your .jxl file. FastEdit decodes it using a WebAssembly-based JXL decoder.
03
Choose JPG output
Select JPEG/JPG as the export format.
04
Set quality
Adjust the quality slider. JXL source images are typically high quality, so JPG 85-90% is usually sufficient.
05
Export
Download your JPG file. Decoding and encoding happen entirely on your device.
Benefits
- JPG is supported by every browser, device, and application: guaranteed compatibility.
- Useful for sharing JXL files with people whose software or browser lacks JXL support.
- JXL decoding runs in WebAssembly, so you can work with JXL even in browsers without native JXL support.
- No upload: your files stay on your device.
Free. No upload. No watermark. No account. No limits.
