How to Convert WebP to JPG

There is a small quality loss because both WebP and JPG are lossy formats, and you are re-compressing. At JPEG quality 90+, the difference is imperceptible for photographs. For pixel-perfect output, use PNG instead.

JPEG does not support transparency. Any transparent areas in the WebP image are filled with a solid background color (white by default). If you need transparency, convert to PNG instead.

Use JPG for photographs and complex images. The files are much smaller. Use PNG when you need lossless quality, transparency support, or sharp rendering of text and line art. For most web images, JPG is the practical choice.

WebP produces files 25-35% smaller than JPEG at equivalent quality. This speeds up page loading and reduces bandwidth costs. When you download a WebP image and need JPG, you trade some file size efficiency for universal compatibility.
