Discord Image Sizes & Presets

Discord emojis must be exactly 128x128 pixels. The file must be under 256 KB. Supported formats are PNG, JPEG, GIF, and WebP. Animated emojis require the GIF or APNG format and a Nitro subscription or boosted server to upload.

Discord stickers must be 320x320 pixels and under 512 KB. The accepted formats are APNG and WebP. Lottie (JSON) stickers are only available for verified servers in the discovery program.

Open your image in FastEdit, select the Discord Emoji preset, and it will automatically resize to 128x128 and convert to WebP under 256 KB. Click export to download, then upload it in Discord Server Settings > Emoji.

Yes. Animated emojis use the GIF or APNG format and still must be 128x128 pixels under 256 KB. Only Nitro subscribers can use animated emojis in other servers, and uploading them requires available animated emoji slots on the server.

The recommended size is 960x540 pixels (16:9 ratio). The banner appears behind the channel list in the server, so use subtle, low-contrast imagery. Animated banners (GIF) require boost level 3.

Discord free tier allows 10MB file uploads. Nitro Classic increases this to 50MB, and Nitro allows 500MB. For free users, compressing video with VP9 or AV1 codec at 720p can fit surprisingly high-quality clips under 10MB.

Open your video in FastEdit, reduce the resolution to 720p, select MP4 with H.264 codec, and lower the bitrate. FastEdit processes everything locally: your video is never uploaded to any server during compression.
