WhatsApp Sticker Sizes & Presets

WhatsApp stickers must be exactly 512x512 pixels in WebP format. The maximum file size is 100 KB. Both static and animated stickers follow these same dimension requirements.

Open your image in FastEdit, select the WhatsApp Sticker preset, and it will automatically resize to 512x512 WebP under 100 KB. Download the file and import it into a sticker maker app on your phone to create a pack.

WhatsApp enforces a 100 KB limit to minimize data usage since many users are on limited mobile data plans. This is significantly smaller than Discord (256 KB) or Telegram (512 KB) sticker limits.

The recommended profile photo size is 640x640 pixels in JPEG format. WhatsApp displays it as a circle, so keep important content centered. The image is compressed by WhatsApp regardless of your original quality.

WhatsApp limits video files to 16MB for sending in chats. Status videos are limited to 30 seconds. Videos above this limit will either be rejected or re-compressed with significant quality loss. For best results, compress your video to under 16MB using H.264 codec at 720p resolution before sending.

Open your video in FastEdit, select MP4 with H.264 codec, reduce the resolution to 720p, and lower the bitrate until the file is under 16 MB. Pre-compressing gives you better quality than letting WhatsApp do it automatically, because you control exactly where the quality is spent.
