How to Add a Logo to Video
Walkthrough
- 01
Open FastEdit
Go to fastedit.net. The editor opens in your browser with no account, install, or upload step.
- 02
Drop your video
Drag and drop your MP4, MOV, WebM, GIF, APNG, or animated WebP source. FastEdit loads it locally on your device.
- 03
Add an image overlay
Open the Overlay tool, switch the overlay type to Image, and choose your logo file. Transparent PNG logos work best.
- 04
Position the logo
Drag the logo on the preview, resize it with the handles, and adjust opacity so it is visible without covering the content.
- 05
Set logo timing
Use the overlay region on the timeline to keep the logo visible for the whole video or only during selected sections.
- 06
Export the branded video
Choose MP4, WebM, GIF, WebP, or APNG output, preview the result, and export. The final file downloads locally.
Small things worth checking
- Use a transparent PNG logo when possible. It blends into the video without a visible rectangular background.
- Put logos in a corner with enough margin from the edges. Social platforms often crop or cover edge areas with UI.
- Lower opacity works better for watermark-style marks. Use full opacity only when the logo is meant to be a visible brand badge.
- Keep the overlay small enough that it does not compete with the subject. Around 8-15% of the video width is usually enough.
- If you are exporting for Instagram, TikTok, or Shorts, crop to the target aspect ratio before placing the logo so the position is final.
