01
Open FastEdit
Go to fastedit.net. Works in any modern browser with no installation needed.
02
Drop your HEIC file
Drag and drop your HEIC or HEIF file onto the editor. The file is decoded locally. Nothing is uploaded to any server.
03
Select PNG as the output format
Choose PNG from the output format menu. PNG uses lossless compression, so no additional quality is lost during conversion.
04
Adjust dimensions if needed
iPhone photos are typically 12MP (4032x3024) or higher. If you need a smaller file, reduce the dimensions. Otherwise, keep the original size for full quality.
05
Export your PNG
Click Export to download. The PNG file is ready for editing in Photoshop, Figma, or any other tool.
Tips
- PNG files are significantly larger than HEIC. A 3MB HEIC photo may produce a 15-25MB PNG. This is normal for lossless output.
- Choose PNG over JPG when you plan to edit the image further, since repeated JPG saves degrade quality.
- PNG supports transparency, so if your editing workflow involves compositing, PNG is the right choice.
- For sharing (email, messaging, social media), JPG is usually more practical due to smaller file sizes.
- Use batch mode to convert an entire folder of HEIC files to PNG in one operation.
