01
Open FastEdit
Go to fastedit.net. No installation or sign-up needed.
02
Drop your WebP file
Drag and drop your WebP image onto the editor. FastEdit decodes it locally. Your file stays on your device.
03
Select PNG as the output format
Choose PNG from the output format menu. PNG is lossless, so no quality is lost during conversion.
04
Adjust dimensions if needed
Keep the original dimensions for full quality, or resize if you need a specific output size.
05
Export your PNG
Click Export to download the PNG file. It is ready to open in Photoshop, upload to print services, or use anywhere PNG is required.
Tips
- PNG files are larger than WebP. This is normal. PNG uses lossless compression, which is less efficient than WebP's compression.
- If the WebP was lossy, the PNG captures the decoded pixels exactly. No additional quality is lost, but no lost detail is recovered either.
- For animated WebP files, consider converting to GIF instead, since PNG does not support animation (APNG has limited support).
- Use batch mode to convert multiple WebP files to PNG at once.
