- Reddit displays images differently in card view (large preview) vs classic view (thumbnail): design for card view since it is the default.
- Community banners are cropped to different heights on mobile vs desktop: keep important content in the center vertical third.
- Post images with readable text overlays perform well on Reddit since many users browse in card view mode.
- Use PNG for screenshots and graphics with text; use JPEG for photographs to keep file sizes manageable.
